Meriel “Molly” McCollum, PhD RN

Molly is a mixed-methods researcher with over ten years of experience in health workforce, systems, policy, and health economics research. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University and her PhD in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she completed a postdoctoral research assistantship at a HRSA-funded Health Workforce Research Center. On the industry side, she has worked as a healthcare leader and administrator, research scientist, analyst, and consultant since 2021.

Molly is also a practicing emergency department nurse and a member of the American Organizational of Nurse Leaders (AONL) and the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). She holds multi-state licenses in Georgia and New York, and has adjunct faculty appointments at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing and the University at Buffalo School of Nursing.
